Vancouver, B.C. Canada (October 9, 2002): Autoprise, Inc., a software and services company specializing in innovative solutions for the automotive collision repair industry, has launched its Information Technology (I.T.) Support and Help Desk. The service is currently available to clients in the Lower Mainland and select areas of Vancouver Island, with plans to expand across Canada within the next year. Two of the largest chains in B.C., The Boyd Group Inc. and Kirmac CARSTAR, have signed contracts for Autoprise to supply I.T. support and services to their corporate locations in B.C., providing an efficient, cost-effective solution for managing their technology-related issues.

Autoprise will provide The Boyd Group Inc. and Kirmac CARSTAR with primary and secondary support of software applications and operating systems as well as hardware installation, upgrades, and routine maintenance. Help desk services, remote desktop access and on-site support will also be provided.

“The Autoprise I.T. service contract ensures that our technology needs will be taken care of with minimum disruption. It eliminates the cost of hiring full-time I.T. personnel or using on-call I.T. services,” said Tim Wilder, President and C.O.O. of Kirmac CARSTAR. “Autoprise ensures consistent service procedures are being followed and routine system maintenance is being done on schedule. It allows us to focus on growing our business instead of complex technology issues. Autoprise specializes in understanding and serving the collision industry; they know and understand the challenges that we face on a daily basis.”

Ryan Volberg, President and CEO of Autoprise said, “The collision repair industry as a whole is undergoing major changes resulting in the need for sophisticated yet affordable I.T. solutions that meet the needs of the consumer, the repair facilities, insurance companies, and suppliers. Our philosophy is client-focused; we recognize the value of listening to what our clients want and provide it. We employ a ‘life-cycle’ approach to support and services that removes the responsibility of managing complex I.T. systems out of the shop and into our hands. Managing a high-volume repair facility is a challenge that is becoming more complex all of the time. With insurance companies requiring much more from the collision shops than ever before, the shops that can’t keep up with advancing technology won’t survive.”
